    Listen.............
On a day when I really didn't care what I stopped to eat, I was lucky enough to come across Antonella's... I only stopped in to buy a sandwich and wound up sitting down to a great meal with pasta and meatballs... Anyplace that says that they have meatballs, I always ask are they made fresh... Please don't lie to me just to earn a buck.
    Let me
Tell you that this place makes one of the best meatballs that I've eaten. I had recently spoken to a random stranger from Boston. But she had gone to school at Villanova. We were talking about food and I mentioned good places in the area to eat and that I knew a place that made great meatballs and sauce... This woman hadn't been in town in a few years. But she blurted our Antonella's before I got a chance to say it!!
Back to my meal... I finished it a happy man. Thanked the owner and told him how great the meal was. And I also bought more food to take home for dinner....
Yeah.... it was really that good.
If you're ever in the area. This business will not disappoint you.

Where have you been all of my life, Antonella's? Or, better yet, where have I been for all of yours? Well, to be honest, I'd been venturing elsewhere, but that's got to stop, because you're seriously that good.

In terms of Italian market options available on the Main Line, I'm going to be blunt: Antonella's is the best, and they don't charge you an arm and leg for their greatness. The food, from the sandwiches to the lasagna, is made with a whole lotta love. You can taste it in their red gravy, which I recommend joyously slurping up with a spoon.

The downside? They don't have, like, a million options or anything, and they're working within a small space containing a few tables to one side. I can think of a couple local purveyors who have an everything-but-the-kitchen-sink menu, and that's not them. But trust me, it's for the best.

You'll find really interesting sandwich combinations here, along with lasagna featuring dynamite homemade crepes. This generous slab of cheesy, meaty, saucy pasta heaven melts in your mouth and makes your soul feel good. Don't even get me started on the meatballs, man. They've got a hint of that perfect buttery fatness and kill on the flavor front. I recently ordered a meal of lasagna, two meatballs, and a roll for less than $12. It lasted two meals but could've lasted three, easy.

The Padre hoagie by Brady is my top sandwich. The chicken cutlet paired with fresh mozzarella and Russian dressing works scrumptiously well, and the peppers lend a sweet surprise. I dig this sandwich and the crusty roll it's served on. An 8-inch will run you just $7.25!

Ahhh, what a vibrant little hidden gem. The people here are awesome human beings, and the food is all-around stellar, and it's amazingly priced, too. So rather than kick myself for not trying them sooner, I'll just pledge my undying allegiance. Antonella's, you're yummy and generous as hell, and I'll be back time and time again!

Amazing and fresh Italian food. Better to take out here. All of the specialty hoagies are delicious. Hoping to try more pasta dishes over time. A go to for catering as well

    HOT ROAST PORK !!!!!!!!!!!!

    HOT ROAST PORK !!!!!!!!!!!!

    HOT ROAST PORK !!!!!!!!!!!!

So many prior compliments and pictures of beautiful food had this on my list for a while. Finally got to try today.

The hot roast pork was one of the best we've had in the Greater Phila Area. It was better than our most recent DiNic's experience, ten times over. And it is a close second to John's, THAT is how good it was. So super happy to have them so close for such a high quality HRP sandwich, just sorry we didn't get to them sooner!

The Padre was our other try this time. I know it's a favorite at this place. Didn't do it for me; too sweet, and more like hangover food. I just wanted more of that HRP!

Antonella's take on "hoagies" is kind of Continental, the best way I can put it. If I were to try to make a hoagie from a grocery store in Italy or France (and I have done so), the Antonella's version is more what I would get; fine ingredients, on super-fresh bread (with a crispier crust), but not the coldcutty / mayo-ey / soft roll-y mess that we in Philly know and love. So mind that if you are craving a more typical Philly hoagie... this is a different animal.

All in all, loved their food, and can't wait to go back for more!

Tried the Meatball Sandwich, excellent, and my husband had the  Boardwalk Sausage Sandwich, which was also delish. Still loving their food!

Antonella's has great hoagies and Italian prepares food. We especially love the bruschetta hoagie. The bread is great with the perfect amount of seasoned tomatoes and creamy fresh mozzarella. There is a dining room with plenty of room. They sell Herr's snacks. The people are very friendly.
